University of Technology Sydney (UTS) Visits GDUT

On the morning of March 25, a delegation from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in Australia, led by Vice President Iain Watt, visited Guangdong University of Technology (GDUT). Du Chengming, Senior University Leader and Vice President of GDUT, received the delegation and held in-depth discussions on bilateral cooperation initiatives.


On behalf of GDUT, Du Chengming extended a warm welcome to the UTS delegation. He briefly introduced the latest progress of GDUT’s development and international cooperation efforts, proposed future cooperation directions in international legal talent cultivation, and expressed the hope that the two universities would carry out in-depth collaboration in joint research, student joint training, and faculty and student exchanges.


Iain Watt thanked GDUT for the warm reception and shared an overview of UTS’s development history, disciplinary strengths and current development status. He expressed his wish to further deepen and expand bilateral cooperation building on the existing joint training programs between the two universities.


Participants from both sides conducted in-depth deliberations on the cooperation programs for the law major, including teaching plan design and curriculum alignment, and reached a preliminary consensus. The two parties agreed to advance the detailed coordination of relevant cooperation matters in the follow-up.


Relevant personnel in charge from the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, the Law School and other functional departments of GDUT attended the meeting.
