Brief Biography
Zeng Jinlian, holds a Doctor of Philosophy in History from the University of Macau. She is a member of the “Young Hundred Talents Program“ at Guangdong University of Technology. Her main research interests include the legal history of Macau, modern urban history and the history of modern and contemporary Chinese political systems. She has published nearly 20 papers and translated works in journals such as Academic Research, Journal of Jinan University (Philosophy and Social Sciences Edition) and Journal of South China Normal University (Social Sciences Edition), and co-authored 2 monographs. She has presided over 1 project, namely the 2016 National Social Science Fund Youth Project “Collation, Translation and Research on Historical Materials of Chinese Judicial System in Modern Macau“ (Approval No. 16CZS007); sshe has participated in 4 projects including the 2016 Major National Social Science Fund Project “Collation and Research on Foreign Trade Documents of Hong Kong and Macao after the Opium War“, the Global Document Survey of Macau Studies (2014-present), “The Alien Corner of the Celestial Empire—Western Civilization in Macau during the Ming and Qing Dynasties“ (completed and published in 2016) and the Research on Modern Urban History of Macau (2010-2014).
