Brief Biography
Daniel Shek, male, holds a PhD from the University of Hong Kong. He currently serves as Associate Vice President, Chair Professor of the Department of Applied Social Sciences, and Li & Fung Professor in Service Leadership Education at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is also Chair Professor for High-level Talents under the Ministry of Education at Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, Advisory Professor at East China Normal University (Shanghai), and a Fellow of the Hong Kong Psychological Society.
Professor Daniel Shek is a world-renowned expert in adolescent psychology and educational research. His research interests span social welfare and social work practice, service learning, adolescent development, mental health and addictive disorders, among other areas. His research findings have been widely published in numerous prestigious international journals, including Research on Social Work Practice, British Journal of Social Work, Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders, Social Indicators Research, and Journal of Adolescent Health.
