Founded in 2014, the Center is dedicated to supporting innovation in drug governance and promoting the integration of industry, academia, and research in drug control and rehabilitation. It conducts research based on our university’s “National Social Work Professional Talent Training Base”, “Guangdong Provincial Social Work Talent Training Base” and cooperative bases, bringing together experts, scholars, and practitioners in drug control and rehabilitation from inside and outside the university. The center organizes seminars, guidance, training, and other activities focusing on drug control and rehabilitation theory, policy, practice, innovation and entrepreneurship, and the application of high and new technologies. Examples include publishing the Drug Control Social Work training textbook series, launching the “Guangdong Drug Control Social Work Research” column, and guiding students to win national and provincial awards in innovation and entrepreneurship competitions. It supports discipline construction and talent cultivation at our university and has become a supporting force for drug control and rehabilitation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
