Against the deepening population aging in China, ensuring the quality of life for the elderly has become an important issue in contemporary Chinese society. The Gerontology Research Center is committed to exploring the process and laws of population aging, with the mission of “focusing on elderly social issues and advancing elderly social policies”. Leveraging the advantages of the multidisciplinary high-end talent pool at Guangdong University of Technology, the center integrates various social resources from all sectors of society to conduct comprehensive and forward-looking research. It aims to provide scientific basis and policy recommendations for promoting the comprehensive, coordinated, and sustainable development of China’s elderly cause and improving the social security and welfare level of the elderly population.
