Established in September 2018, the Emergency Management Research Center of the Law School, Guangdong University of Technology, is dedicated to building a research and innovation platform, academic exchange center, and talent training base in the field of emergency management. Adhering to the principle of integrating theory with practice and serving the development of emergency management in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the center has formed certain theoretical achievements and practical experience in social services responding to major public health events such as the COVID-19 pandemic through initial development. Looking forward, starting from the needs of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and combining the professional advantages of our college, the center will seize the strategic opportunity of the great development of emergency management in China, adhere to a problem-solving orientation, and strive to make due contributions to addressing emergency management issues in the Bay Area.
