On October 26th, the signing and listing ceremony of the cooperation between our school and the People's Court of Ruyuan Yao Autonomous County (hereinafter referred to as Ruyuan Court, the same below) to jointly build an off-campus internship base was solemnly held in Ruyuan Court. Xu Yuejian, Deputy Secretary of the Political and Legal Committee of the CPC Ruyuan County, Lu Guodong, Secretary of the Party Group and Dean of the Ruyuan Court, Bao Jun, Secretary of the Party Committee of our school, Professor Shao Junwu, Dean, Fang Yaming, Vice Dean, Professor Guo Lihong of the Law Department, and Zhang Yugang, Director of the Party and Government Office, took part in the activities. The ceremony was presided over by Shu Yueping, Vice Dean of Ruyuan Court.
At the ceremony, Dean Lu Guodong and Deputy Secretary Xu Yuejian delivered speeches respectively, expressing a warm welcome to the arrival of our leaders and teachers, and briefly introducing the legal work in Ruyuan County, the structure of and team building of Ruyuan Court, and expressing good expectations for the promotion of court work and the improvement of case handling level in the construction of the internship base. Dean Shao Junwu gave a brief introduction to the discipline construction and talent training of our school, and explained that the establishment of the school-level internship base cannot be separated from the guidance and support of the university's educational administration and other departments. He pointed out that the establishment of the off-campus internship base is also a positive response to the realization of the comprehensive rule of law and the cultivation of high-quality political and legal talents. Later, the two sides also discussed further cooperation and construction in the future, and held a brief but grand opening ceremony of " Guangdong University of Technology Off-campus Internship Base". Secretary Bao Jun issued the appointment letters of part-time teachers of our school to five judges, including Lu Guodong.
Afterwards, led by Dean Lu Guodong and Deputy Secretary Xu Yuejian, our leaders and teachers visited the litigation service center, trial court, monitoring center, cultural hall and other places of Ruyuan Court, and learned about the office and living environment of the internship students on the spot.
The establishment of the off-campus internship base of our school is also an important initiative to strengthen the cultivation of practical application ability of our students and broaden the path of professional internship for students. Both sides will also put it into practice as soon as possible according to the cooperation content and work together to build the internship base well to become a good platform for students to put their learning into practice.
