On November 10, 2018, our school held a grand alumni conference on Back-To-School Day of School of Political Science and Law of GDUT. The meeting was held at about 10:00 a.m. in Teaching Building 109 of Longdong Campus. More than 150 people attended the conference, including members of the school’s leadership team, retired senior leaders, teachers' representatives, alumni representatives, teachers and students.
First of all, Prof. Shao Junwu, Dean of our school, delivered a speech. On behalf of the school, he extended a warm welcome to the alumni who returned home and paid high tribute to the old leaders, teachers and alumni who supported our school. Sixty years of string singing, One century of hard work. Dean Shao outlined the historical development of the university and our school, the characteristics of the school and the achievements made in recent years, believing that the development and achievements of the school and the school in recent years cannot be separated from the support of alumni.
Professor Qin Xinghong, former teacher of the Department of Social Sciences, Associate Professor Wang Xiaoxian, former head of the Department of Law, Associate Professor Zhu Jingjun, former head of the Department of Social Work, Professor Xu Luhang, former head of the Department of Public Administration, and Associate Professor Xing Kebo, Department of Law, spoke successively, reviewing their time in the School of Political Science and Law. Chen Fu, a law student of 2008, and Deng Chen Quan, a public administration major student of 2014, spoke one after another. They expressed their heartfelt gratitude to their university and said that as alumni, they would definitely pay attention to the development of the university and the school as always and continue to add glory to the development of the university. Ye Liqin, a representative of current students, said she would learn from the outstanding alumni, work hard and strive for glory for the university.
The successful holding of this conference is a dedication to the sixty-years-old GDUT and a summary of the work of our school in the past few years, which shows the development vitality and good appearance of the School of Political Science and Law. In the future, our school will take this opportunity and a new starting point to contribute to the construction of a high-level university and write the next wonderful chapter.
