Brief Biography

Professor Chengming Du, PhD, Doctoral Supervisor, and Expert enjoying the Special Government Allowance of the State Council.

He previously served as Dean of Academic Affairs, Vice President, Deputy Director of the University Academic Committee, and Deputy Director of the University Degree Committee at Guangdong University of Finance & Economics. He was also the Leader of Law—a provincial advantageous and first-class discipline, Dean of the Human Rights Research Institute (a provincial key research base for humanities and social sciences), and Director of the Provincial Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center.

Currently, he holds the positions of Vice President and Deputy Director of the University Degree Committee at Guangdong University of Technology, as well as Doctoral Supervisor and Postdoctoral Supervisor at Wuhan University. He is the Course Leader of the National First-Class Course Constitutional Law.

In 2013, he was selected as one of the First Batch of “Top Ten Outstanding Young and Middle-aged Jurists in Guangdong” and obtained the qualification of doctoral supervisor at Wuhan University. In 2019, he was included in the Ranking of the Most Influential Scholars in China’s Law Discipline, ranking 22nd in the field of Constitutional and Administrative Law
