Brief Biography
Chen Youwu, male, native of Yiyang, Hunan Province. His research focuses on the rule of law and human rights, and he is mainly engaged in education and training in the fields of the rule of law and human rights. He is currently a Distinguished Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Guangdong University of Technology.
He holds a Bachelor of Laws from China University of Political Science and Law, a Master of Laws from Hunan University, and a Doctor of Laws from Wuhan University. He completed his postdoctoral research at Southwest University of Political Science & Law, served as a Visiting Scholar at Peking University, and works as an Adjunct Professor at China University of Political Science and Law. He has previously held teaching and research positions at Hunan University, Guangzhou University and other institutions of higher education, and has been invited to conduct academic exchanges and visits in Denmark, Japan, Austria and other countries.
He has published more than 60 academic papers in journals including Qiushi, and authored 4 sole-authored monographs published by Social Sciences Academic Press and other publishing houses. He has presided over more than 10 national, ministerial and provincial-level research projects, including major and key projects of the National Social Science Fund of China. Several of his think tank research outcomes have received instructions and been adopted by central, ministerial and provincial-level leaders.
He has been honored with awards such as the Outstanding Achievement Award of Higher Education Institutions issued by the Ministry of Education, and honorary titles including “Outstanding Expert of Guangzhou City”.
