On November 26th, our school signed a contract with Guangdong Whobound Law Firm to build an off-campus internship base and the ceremony was held in Guangdong Whobound Law Firm. Attorneys Huang Zhiwei, Director of the firm, Wang Qi, Executive Director, Zhong Qisheng, He Kuei-kui and Mo Chengzhe, Shao Junwu, Dean of our school, Fang Yaming, Vice Dean of our school, Huang Fei-fei, Deputy Secretary, Wu Yuehong, Assistant of Dean of our school and Dean of the Law Department, Zhang Yugang, Director of the Party and Government Office, Jin Tingyu, Counselor, some law undergraduates attended the ceremony together. The ceremony was hosted by Director Huang Zhiwei.
At the ceremony, Director Huang Zhiwei and Director Wang Qi delivered speeches, expressing their warm welcome to our leaders, teachers and students, and briefly introduced the firm's development status, team building, business scope and advantages, internship environment and content, etc. They indicated that the firm's business was less affected by the epidemic, and that the volume of business was increasing rather than decreasing, showing a good momentum of development. The two sides can have more in-depth cooperation in terms of internship practice, employment cooperation, talent training and so on. At the same time, the two sides have already cooperated for more than one year, so they are full of confidence in the future cooperation and the construction of the base, looking forward to this listing as an opportunity to provide more practice opportunities for students of Guangdong University of Technology, and can work together to establish a long-term cooperation and win-win mechanism.
Shao Junwu, Dean of our school, gave a brief introduction to the discipline construction, talent cultivation and development vision of the school at the ceremony, and pointed out that the establishment of the off-campus internship base is a strong support to the construction and development of the law discipline of the school, and also a further expansion of the training path of legal talents of the school, which will be helpful to the school in cultivating high-quality applied talents. At the same time, Vice Dean Fang Yaming and Vice Secretary Huang Feifei talked about the cooperation ideas in terms of postgraduate talent training and students' social practice. Afterwards, the two sides also had an in-depth discussion on the internship program, base construction, party branch co-building and other aspects, and held a brief and grand signing and listing ceremony.
After the ceremony, teachers and students also visited the office and working environment of the law firm, and got to know and feel the working atmosphere of the law firm.
