Brief Biography
Luo Li, Professor, also serves as Director of China Intellectual Property Law Research Association, Expert of the National Intellectual Property Strategy Expert Database, and Expert of the Expert Advisory Committee of the Intellectual Property Case Guidance Base of the Supreme People's Court, among other positions.
She obtained her Doctor of Laws from the Faculty of Law, University of Cologne, Germany, and her Master of Laws and Bachelor of Laws from China University of Political Science and Law.
She has published a German monograph Verwertungsrechte und Verwertungsschutz im Internet nach neuem Urheberrecht – Vergleich des internationalem, U.S., europäischem und deutschem Rechts (Comparative Study on the New Legal Developments of Copyright Exploitation and Protection in the Internet, C.H. Beck, 2004) and a translated work Introduction to Legal Science and Legal Philosophy (German to Chinese, Law Press China, 2005), etc. She has also published numerous papers in domestic and foreign academic journals, including Social Sciences in China, Law Science, Law Review, Science of Law, Politics and Law, Yue Dan Law Review, European Intellectual Property Review (EUIPR), and Comparative Law Journal of the Pacific.
She has participated in the compilation of books such as Intellectual Property Law (Renmin University Press, 2022), Intellectual Property Law (Higher Education Press, 2015), Intellectual Property Law Tutorial (China University of Political Science and Law Press, 2015), Annotated Leading Patent Cases in Major Asian Jurisdictions (Hong Kong, 2017), The Evolution and Equilibrium of Copyright in the Digital Age (Cambridge University Press, 2014), The AIPPI Guide to Employees’ Intellectual Property Rights (2nd ed., Wolters Kluwer, 2017), and Trade Secret Protection—Asia at a Crossroads (Kluwer, 2021).
She has presided over a number of projects funded by the National Social Science Foundation of China, the Sino-German Science Center of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Justice, etc. She has visited or served as a visiting professor at many universities and research institutions, including New York University, City University of New York, Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition, University of Melbourne, and Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand.
