Brief Biography

Zhao Haiyi, native of Xi’an, Shaanxi Province, is a Distinguished Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Guangdong University of Technology. Sheis also the 6th “Outstanding Young and Middle-Aged Jurist in Shaanxi Province“, Member of the Legislative Advisory Committee of the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of Shaanxi Province, Legal Expert of the People’s Government of Shaanxi Province, Member of the Selection (Disciplinary) Committee of Judges and Prosecutors of Shaanxi Province, Member of the Administrative Reconsideration Advisory Committee of Xi’an City, Member of Xi’an Arbitration Commission, and Vice President of the Law and Economics Research Association of Shaanxi Law Society. She has served as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Illinois in the United States, the University of California, Berkeley, the University of Rome Tor Vergata in Italy and the University of Turin in Italy. She has presided over 8 national, ministerial and provincial-level research projects including Key Projects of the National Social Science Fund, Youth Projects of the National Social Science Fund, sub-projects of Major Tackling Projects of the Ministry of Education, and General Projects of the Social Science Fund of Shaanxi Province. She has published 2 academic monographs and translated works, and edited 2 textbooks. She has published more than 30 academic papers in authoritative and core journals including Tribune of Political Science and Law and People’s Daily·Academic Edition, some of which have been reprinted and excerpted by Higher Education Academic Abstracts and China Social Sciences Journal. She has won the First Prize for the 15th Shaanxi Provincial Philosophy and Social Sciences Outstanding Achievements and the First Prize for Shaanxi Provincial University Humanities and Social Sciences Research Outstanding Achievements.
