Spring is full of flowers and autumn is full of fruits. As the 36th Teachers' Day approaches, in order to create a good atmosphere of respecting teachers and valuing teaching, advocating teachers' ethics and paying attention to teaching and research, on the afternoon of September 8, our school held a Teachers' Day tea party with the theme of "refining teachers' ethics and abilities and fulfilling the mission of educating people". Shao Junwu, Dean of our school, Huang Peiqing, Secretary of the Party Committee of our school, and representatives of teachers took part in the activity.
At the tea party, Yu Xiangyang, founder of the "Party Member Teaching Demonstration Post", Liuyong, secretary of the Party branch of the staff, Hu Fang, a volunteer who actively participated in the fight against COVID-19 epidemic, Yan Yu, winner of the Guangdong Young Teachers Teaching Competition, Zhu Yuanyuan, head of the ideological and political program of the school-level curriculum, Zeng Jinlian, head of the National Social Science Funding program, Yang Ling, a representative of veteran teachers, and Jiang Qiuwei, a representative of newly recruited teachers, shared their experiences in teaching and educating people and cultivating morality from different perspectives, showing the noble, pure and professional spirits.
Dean Shao Junwu extended festive greetings to all the faculty members who worked hard in the front line of teaching and research. He hoped that the teachers would closely focus on the fundamental task of establishing moral character and educating people, further enhance their educational ability from the aspects of ideological leadership, teaching and scientific research ability, interdisciplinary innovation, etc., seize the opportunities brought about by the transformation and development of the college, and realize their own values in the journey of forging ahead together with the school.
In conclusion, Secretary Huang Peiqing stressed that in order to achieve high-quality teaching and educating people and cultivate morality, from the perspective of teachers themselves, they should be strict with themselves, diligent in cultivation, and strive to develop excellent teachers' ethics, exquisite teaching skills and solid academic innovation ability. From the perspective of our school management service, they should make great efforts to trust teachers, care for teachers and serve teachers, and strongly support teachers to release more energy and play a greater role in teaching and educating people and cultivating morality.
At the Tea Party, our school honored and rewarded the teachers who won the provincial teaching awards in the previous academic year.
