In order to welcome the Chinese New Year, strengthen alumni liaison, and promote the alumni to share new opportunities with the School of Law and seek new development, the School of Law Alumni Association held the 2024 Chinese New Year Reunion Series on February 25th, which included the New Year's activities of two alumni law firms, the Chinese New Year Symposium for the faculty and students of the School of Law, and the second meeting of the School's Alumni Board of Directors and the “Chun Ming” soiree.
During the activity, Prof. Li Zhiming, vice dean of the Law School, lawyer Huang Xiaoming, president of the Alumni Association, representatives of teachers and alumni went to Guangdong Jinqiao Baixin Law Firm and Guangdong Luo Huanping Law Firm to carry out New Year's greetings successively. Mr. Mo Zhe, deputy director of Guangdong Jinqiao Baixin Law Firm, and Mr. Luo Huanping, director of Guangdong Luo Huanping Law Firm, attended the reunion and exchanged views with the School of law on internship bases, the introduction of talents, and cooperation and integration, and indicated that they would link up widely with the resources, and endeavor to promote win-win development for the Law School, the firms, and the majority of alumni.
Afterwards, members of the Alumni Association came to the Law School to participate in the Spring Festival Symposium for Teachers and Students. Alumni and teachers reminisced about the good time in school and the unforgettable friendship between teachers and students, remembered the past years, shared the experience of practicing law, expressed their gratitude, and discussed with teachers about the construction and development of the college, alumni work and other topics, and actively contributed their ideas and suggestions.
In the evening, the Alumni Association held the second meeting of the governing board and the “Chun Ming” soiree in Long Dong, where representatives of the faculty and students of the Law School discussed with the alumni the direction and focus of the alumni work in the new year, and celebrated the Chinese New Year in a warm and joyful atmosphere. In the future, the Law School Alumni Association will continue to play the role of a bridge and a link, and work together with the School and the alumni to create a better future.
